Our Story
2008
Where it began...
Chloe and Michael both grew up in Oakville, their paths often parallel but never quite intersecting until a summer day in 2008 at The Heritage Way convenience store. The following weeks were filled with hours of texting back & forth… It wasn't long before Michael grew the courage to shoot his shot. With more than a little apprehension, he tapped out the words, "I like you," and hit send. Chloe, too scared to admit how she honestly felt, replied with the dreaded, "I like you too, as a friend."
2009-2017
The Middle
Thankfully by grade 9, Chloe and Michael put their crushes for one another aside and instead became part of an inseparable group of friends together. Years passed, high school turned into university — Chloe at Queen's and Michael at Guelph. Occasionally, they would drift back into each other’s lives when they were both single, always sensing an unspoken connection beneath their “just friends” facade.
2021-Present
Finally!
Fast forward to the spring of 2021 - Chloe decided to move to Vancouver in the midst of the pandemic. Lucky for her, 6 months later one of her good friends from home, Michael, also made the leap to move there too! From the day Michael arrived, they went on as many adventures as possible together: hiking, camping, skiing, sunrises & sunsets, live music, cooking new foods… Each shared experience seemed to draw them closer, peeling back layers of their 13+ year unspoken bond. It didn’t take long - about one month later they began dating and have been inseparable ever since.
